Cruise Of The Poll Parrot
This show started in 1937, as a juvenile adventure series sponsored Poll Parrot Shows.
The series takes place in New Bedford, Mass. in 1858. The main character was Captain Roy Dalton, Ezra Grange the ship's owner, Sue Grange, and her friend Johnny Robbins. Sue was Ezra's younger sister. Each episode is around 11-12 minutes long, and is in the serial format.
At first I though this was kind of a corny idea for a radio show (OK, it is a little!), but after listening to a dew episodes, it's really pretty good.
Complete series is 39 shows, and I have all of the on this one MP3 CD disc.
